We actually parse your PDF the same way an ATS does, compare it to the job description you paste in, and surface: keyword matches, format issues, length, section-header recognition, and missing skills.

ATS templates use a simple layout — single column, no tables or text boxes, standard fonts — that recruitment software parses cleanly. Creative templates have more visual design and multi-column layouts, which can confuse some ATS parsers but stand out with human reviewers. We recommend ATS templates for large companies and public sector roles, creative templates for agencies, start-ups and visual industries.

The primary format is PDF, generated from your template exactly as it appears on screen. The PDF is optimised for both printing and digital reading. ATS templates produce PDFs that all major recruitment software can parse. DOCX export (Word) is available on paid plans for recruiters who specifically request it.

For all templates marked ATS, yes. We generate a PDF with selectable text, no floating image boxes or text frames, and a section structure that the major ATS platforms (Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Taleo, iCIMS) recognise correctly. You can verify your ATS score before downloading.

No, never. Your CV content is never used to train AI models — neither by FacileCV nor by our model providers. Our provider contracts explicitly prohibit this. You remain the sole owner of all your data.
